Instructions In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla together with an electric mixer for 3 minutes. Sift in the dry ingredients and alternate mixing with the yogurt. Mix until there are no lumps. Pour into a greased ( or parchment lined ) cake pan and bake at 160 C ( 320 F ) until done ( About 40-45 minutes. The middle of the cake will be firm to the touch ). Check with a tooth pick if you're not sure. The tooth pick should come out clean. Let the cake cool a while before frosting. Frosting; In
a sauce pan heat the whipping cream, chocolate and sugar on low flame,
stirring constantly until all of the chocolate is melted and there are
no lumps. NOTES; This cake is best served at room temperature! I usually make two cakes and frost in between them, also. |
